What is a POS Transaction?
A POS transaction is a transaction initiated by a point-of-sale system. Instead of inputting the transaction amount directly into your EFTPOS terminal, the sales total is calculated via your point-of-sale system and then automatically pushed to your EFTPOS terminal — ready for the customer to tap, dip or swipe to make payment.
