Mobile wallets are now enabled at online checkout for Zeller Invoices and Payment Links, reducing friction and giving customers any easier, faster way to pay you.
Getting paid should be as simple as tapping a button — for you, and for your customers. That's why we've introduced Apple Pay and Google Pay to checkout for Zeller Invoices and Payment Links. Now, when you send an invoice or share a payment link, your customers can pay in a single tap, straight from their phone or laptop, no card details required.
Faster checkout means faster payment. Here's why.
Customers are used to paying with Apple Pay and Google Pay everywhere else — in-store, in apps, at checkout on their favourite websites. But paying an invoice often still means digging out a card and entering billing details, or copying your bank details into their banking app to make a transfer. It's friction that's often enough to turn a same-day payment into a late one.
Zeller now lets your customers pay for invoices and payment links using Google Pay and Apple Pay. This means customers can settle their bill with you at the click of a button, significantly reducing the time it takes them to pay you, and the risk of delayed payments to your business. And, the feature comes at no extra cost to you or your customer.
How it works
Apple Pay and Google Pay are now built into the online checkout experience for both Zeller Invoices and Payment Links. When you send an invoice or share a payment link, your customer will simply see the Apple Pay and Google Pay icons alongside the usual card entry field at checkout.
There's nothing to configure in your Zeller Dashboard, if you're already using Zeller Invoices or Payment Links, mobile wallets at checkout are already enabled the next time you send one.

More secure by design
Beyond speed, mobile wallets add a layer of security that manually entered card payments can't match. Each transaction is authenticated on the customer's device using Face ID, Touch ID, or a fingerprint before it's ever sent to Zeller — so a payment can only be approved by the person holding the device, not just anyone with the card number.
Mobile wallets also don't pass your customer's actual card number through to you. Instead, Apple Pay and Google Pay use a unique, encrypted token for every transaction, meaning sensitive card details are never stored or exposed at checkout. This significantly reduces the risk of fraudulent payments compared to manually keyed-in card details, giving both you and your customers greater peace of mind with every transaction.
Built for the way your customers already pay
Whether you're a tradesperson sending an invoice for a completed job, a retailer sharing a payment link for a custom order, or a service provider collecting a deposit, giving customers a familiar, frictionless way to pay makes it more likely they'll pay promptly, and less likely you'll be left chasing an outstanding balance.
