Tap to Pay is cutting-edge technology that allows you to use your smartphone – iPhone or Android – like an EFTPOS machine. Using Zeller App, simply key in the amount to be charged to your customer, hold out your smartphone, and let them tap their card or their mobile wallet to the device. Tap to Pay payments are processed instantly and securely.

Follow these simple steps to start accepting payments with Tap to Pay on iPhone:

Open up your Zeller app.
Tap the sidebar menu in the top left corner (the three horizontal lines).
Select ‘Tap to Pay’.
Follow the prompts through the one-time setup process. This setup ensures that your payments are correctly processed and recorded.

Once you’ve completed the initial setup, you’ll be ready to start accepting contactless card payments on the go with just your iPhone. As a final step, it's recommended to perform a test transaction. This helps you identify the tap area for the NFC chip on your iPhone and how to take a payment.

Note: Tap to Pay on iPhone is limited to transactions under $25,000. For transactions over $100, your customer will be asked to enter their card PIN on your iPhone.

Tap to Pay on iPhone relies on Near Field Communication (NFC), the same technology you use when you make payments with your mobile wallet. With Tap to Pay on iPhone, you can securely accept contactless payments including Apple Pay, Google Pay and other NFC-enabled cards on your iPhone.

To start taking payments with Tap to Pay on Android, download the free Zeller App to your Android smartphone, and check your device settings to confirm that your near-field-communication (NFC) is turned on. If it's turned off, switch it on. Then navigate to the Zeller App. In the menu, select "Tap to Pay" and follow the settings to enable this feature if it's not already enabled. Once it's enabled, you're ready to accept contactless card and mobile wallet payment with Tap to Pay on Android.

Tap to Pay on Android works just like any other contactless payment method — tap and go, Apple Pay, Google Pay, and many more. When your customer is processing a payment, ask them to tap their contactless card or mobile wallet on the back of your phone. A beep will indicate that the payment has been successful, and then you can ask them if they'd like an email or SMS receipt.
