How to set up a cash drawer?
Connect a cash drawer so it opens automatically when you take a cash sale. Cash drawers open through your receipt printer, not directly from the tablet.
Before you start
- Ensure a receipt printer is already connected in Zeller POS. If you haven't set one up yet? For more information - view here
- Compatible cash drawer that has cables connected to the receipt printer. (usually RJ-12).
Set up the cash drawer

Plug the cash drawer cable into the drawer / DK port on the back of your receipt printer.

In Zeller POS, navigate to Settings > Cash Drawer.

Tap Test Open to establish the connection and check the drawer opens.

Enable your prefered setting on how you wish the drawer opens automatically:

Auto-open after a cash payment

Auto-open on refund

Please Note: The drawer only opens for the actions you switch on above. With both off it won't open automatically, but you can open it any time with Test Open.
