How do I process a magnetic stripe transaction?

Although magstripe transactions are still supported, they have become less common as most cards issued in the UK and internationally now feature chips for contactless or Chip & PIN payments.

In instances where a customer presents a card without a chip, or if the chip is damaged, the Zeller Terminal will prompt you to process the payment by swiping the card.

After signing in to your Zeller Terminal:

  1. Select Payments from the navigation menu.
  2. Enter the amount to be charged to your customer.
  3. Tap Charge.
  4. Advise your customer to swipe their card.
  5. Once swiped, advise your customer to complete the transaction by entering their PIN.

After the payment is approved, you may provide the customer with a printed or digital receipt. If a receipt is not required, select New Sale to begin the next transaction.
