Customise Kitchen Display settings
Customise your Kitchen Display by renaming the screen, filtering displayed items, increasing text size, setting prep time alerts, and enabling audio notifications for new orders.
To access your settings, tap Settings in the top-right corner of your Kitchen Display. Changes save automatically as you make them, so there is no save button. Tap X to close.
Display name
Rename the screen, for example Kitchen, Bar or Pass. The name appears in the top left of the display.
Please note: renaming a display brings back any orders you cleared on it since the app was opened. Rename a display between services rather than during one.
What it shows
Choose Show all items to show every order, or Use item routing to show only the items in the routes you select. To choose what appears on a display, view here.
Text size
Choose Regular or Large. Large makes the order text bigger so it can be read from further away, and fits fewer orders on the screen at once.
Prep targets
Set how long an order should take before the card changes colour.
- Next to Yellow After, use the plus and minus buttons to set the number of minutes before a card turns yellow.
- Next to Red After, use the plus and minus buttons to set the number of minutes before a card turns red.
Both can be set between 1 and 60 minutes. Yellow After must be lower than Red After. By default, they are set to 5 and 10 minutes.
Sound on new ticket
Sound on new ticket plays a sound each time a new order arrives. It is on by default.
Please note: on iPad, the sound plays even when the tablet is set to silent. Make sure the tablet's volume is turned up.
Keep screen awake
Keep screen awake stops the screen from dimming or locking while the Kitchen Display is open. It is on by default, so the screen stays on through service.
