8 September 2025

  • In just 45 days, Zeller has deployed payment solutions to over 600 franchise sites for leading national and global brands including The Cheesecake Shop, Noodle Box, Skinkandy, Ugg Australia, Baskin Robbins, and Gelatissimo, proving the demand for a local enterprise-grade payment solution that can scale fast.

  • Transaction volume from enterprise clients is growing at more than twice the rate of SMBs, with enterprise transaction volume up >100% year-on-year.

  • Fast settlement, real-time multi-site reporting, local support, and Zeller’s deep understanding of Australian businesses has delivered an ultimate competitive advantage over global players Stripe and Adyen, seeing Zeller establish itself as Australia’s homegrown payments development toolkit.

MELBOURNE, AUSTRALIA –  Zeller, the Australian fintech redefining payments and financial services, today launched the Zeller Developer Suite, the first local developer-focused payments platform designed for enterprise and multi-location businesses. The platform, comprising an enterprise-grade suite of software development kits (SDKs) and application programming interfaces (APIS), enables developers and organisations to  integrate Zeller’s secure payments stack across their own software, kiosks, mobile apps, and websites.

The launch of the Developer Suite is set to supercharge Zeller’s acceleration in the enterprise segment, already securing and launching partnerships with leading franchise and multi-site brands including The Cheesecake Shop, Gelatissimo, Domino’s, Baskin Robbins, Noodle Box, Pattysmiths, Huxtaburger, Gami Chicken, Ugg Australia, and Skinkandy who all now centralise payments with Zeller across their networks, a capability that banks and global providers like Stripe have failed to deliver.  In the past 45 days alone Zeller has deployed payment solutions to over 600 franchise sites, highlighting rapid adoption across the sector.

Beyond brand partnerships, Zeller is also working with leading platforms and software providers to launch integrated payment solutions across point-of-sale, kiosks, mobile apps, and websites. This includes the development of integrated kiosk payments with leading Australian QSR POS system Redcat, and tableside payment solutions with global hospitality POS provider Tevalis.

Zeller’s enterprise momentum is underpinned by strong growth metrics. Enterprise transaction volume has grown >100% year-on-year, at twice the rate of SMB transaction volume. Zeller also boosted investment in a dedicated Developer Suite team, growing headcount by 260% in the past 12 months spanning specialists across engineering, product, design, and partnerships.

“Payments in the enterprise segment have been underserved for too long. Global providers built products that are solely developer-focused, while lacking a clear understanding of the unique needs of Australian businesses” said Ben Pfisterer, CEO and co-founder at Zeller. “Products commonly provided by the likes of Stripe and Adyen have failed to keep pace with modern commerce, leaving multi-site operators with fragmented payment systems, poor visibility, non-existent support, and delayed settlements.”

“The Zeller Developer Suite has been deployed to change that. We’ve proven our ability by streamlining payments for over 100,000 small businesses nationwide; we’re now scaling at that same pace of innovation into the enterprise segment” Pfisterer continued. “The Zeller Developer Suite is purpose-built to remove friction for large, complex enterprises looking to integrate Zeller’s secure payment stack into their commerce ecosystem. These customers have told us they need centralised reporting across every site, integrated omnichannel payment solutions, custom integrations, faster multi-site deployments, and real-time cash flow insights to unlock future growth. We’re proud to have delivered leading solutions for Australia’s most innovative enterprise brands across retail, hospitality and services, and look forward to opening up more capability for a wider variety of growing Australian businesses."

Global platforms like Stripe prioritise developers over end-users, leaving business operators to grapple with fragmented multi-location management, slow settlements, and a lack of support. Zeller eliminates these barriers, offering a single, enterprise-grade platform combining speed and reliability, backed by a deep understanding of how business owners operate founded in the fintech’s first-hand experience supporting independent business owners since 2021. Iconic Australian bakery franchisor The Cheesecake Shop was one of the early enterprise customers to utilise the Zeller Developer Suite’s Terminal SDK, to integrate with their custom iPad point-of-sale system.

“Managing payments across 220 stores is no small task, and the complexity only increases as we grow,” said Brad Dight, CIO of The Cheesecake Shop. “Zeller’s Developer Suite has made that job simpler. Integrating The Cheesecake Shop’s POS system has enabled a seamless in-store payment experience, while making it easy for my team to support our large franchise network with the technology they need to run their businesses efficiently. Faster settlements, responsive support, and a strong, collaborative partnership with Zeller position us well for long-term success in managing omnichannel payment acceptance across our entire network.”

In addition to the launch, Zeller is inviting developers, software platforms, and system integrators to join the Zeller Partner Program. By joining, they will unlock access to Zeller’s SDK and API toolkit, enabling them to build integrated commerce experiences which can be offered to Zeller’s network of over 100,000 merchants. Partners will also gain early access to technology, product updates, and features ahead of wider release.

The launch cements Zeller as Australia’s homegrown alternative to Stripe, proving that local innovation can deliver enterprise-grade reliability, deployment, and support; solving challenges that even the largest global payment platforms are struggling to address locally.
