Open Banking with Zeller
Supported Open Banking services
The Zeller Open Banking Platform supports the following services, with the account holder's permission:
- Account information: access account details, balances, transactions, standing orders, scheduled payments and statements.
- Payment initiation: initiate domestic payments, scheduled domestic payments and domestic standing orders.
- Confirmation of funds: request confirmation of whether funds are available for a specified amount.
The platform uses the UK Open Banking Read/Write API v4.0.1. Visit developer.myzeller.com for the supported API details, registration requirements, testing access instructions and TPP support contact. The portal will explain testing availability and how to request access.
What is a third-party provider?
A third-party provider is a company offering a service through Open Banking. This could include accounting tools, financial management services or payment services.
Before connecting, check who provides the service, what permission they're asking for and how they'll use your information.
Do I have to use Open Banking?
No. Using Open Banking is optional. You choose whether to connect your account to a provider and whether to approve its request.
What information would I share?
An account information service may request details such as your account balance and transaction history. The information requested depends on the service.
Review the requested access before agreeing, and read the provider's privacy notice to understand how it uses and retains your information.
Does sharing account information let a provider make payments?
Permission to access account information does not, by itself, authorise payments. A payment service requires separate authorisation. Always check the amount and recipient before approving a payment.
How do I connect my Zeller account?
When the service is available, start with the provider you want to use and follow its Open Banking connection instructions.
We'll add the Zeller sign-in, account selection and approval steps here before launch.
How do I manage or stop a connection?
You can withdraw permission for further access to your account information. We'll publish the steps for reviewing and removing Zeller connections here before launch.
Stopping a connection does not automatically delete information the provider has already received. Check its privacy notice or contact it about that information.
What should I do if something goes wrong?
For a problem with the provider's app or service, contact that provider. For help with your Zeller account, a payment you don't recognise or suspected unauthorised access, contact Zeller Support.
If a payment's result is unclear, check its status before trying again.
Zeller Support is available 24/7 through the contact options on the UK Support Centre. Check the status page for service updates.
