Which POS can I use in the UK?

Yes, Zeller has a point of sale, and it is included free with your Zeller account. There is no POS software fee and no separate subscription.

There are two ways to run it in the United Kingdom today, and a third coming soon:

Zeller POS on an iPad or Android tablet, the full point of sale.
POS Lite built into your Zeller Terminal, so one device takes the order and the payment.
POS Lite in the Zeller App on your phone, coming soon.

Both build from the same catalogue, so you set your items up once in the Zeller Dashboard and sell from them anywhere.

Zeller POS on a tablet

Zeller POS is our full point of sale app. It runs on an iPad or an Android tablet and pairs with your Zeller Terminal to take payment, so you will need at least one Zeller Terminal alongside the tablet.

Zeller POS adds the things a busy venue needs: printed itemised receipts, kitchen and customer dockets, receipt printer and cash drawer support, refunds from inside the app, and an offline mode that keeps you selling if your internet drops.

Kitchen Display, tabs, table mapping and inventory tracking are coming soon.

POS Lite on your Zeller Terminal

POS Lite is built into your Zeller Terminal, so the same device takes the order and takes the payment. There is no second device to buy and nothing to pair.

POS Lite runs on Zeller Terminal 2 and Zeller Terminal 1x. It does not run on the original Zeller Terminal.

It is the quickest way to start: if you already have a Terminal, POS Lite is already on it.

POS Lite in the Zeller App, coming soon

POS Lite also runs inside the Zeller App on a phone, turning your phone into a POS. That version uses Tap to Pay to take payments, and Tap to Pay is not available in the United Kingdom yet, so phone POS is coming soon for UK customers. It is a phone experience and is not available on tablets.

If you run a cafe, restaurant or bar with a kitchen, Zeller POS on a tablet is the better fit. If you run a market stall, a salon, a mobile service or a small counter, POS Lite on your Terminal is usually all you need. You can use both across different sites on the same account.

Receipts

Both give your customer a full itemised receipt digitally, by email, SMS or QR code. Zeller POS can also print an itemised receipt to a connected printer. The printer built into your Zeller Terminal produces a payment summary store copy rather than an itemised list, so if you need a printed itemised receipt, use Zeller POS with a connected printer.

Refunds

You can refund a POS sale from the sales record in your POS, and from Transactions on your Zeller Terminal or in the Zeller Dashboard. Both full and partial refunds are supported.

What it costs

The POS software is free on both. There is no monthly POS fee and no lock-in. You pay only your normal Zeller transaction fees, and you buy the hardware once. See myzeller.com/gb/pricing for current rates and the Zeller Shop for hardware.
