In-person payments
Zeller and Teya both offer handheld card machines with 4G connectivity. Zeller Terminal comes in two models starting at £99 + VAT. Teya's comparable offering is the Teya Pro at £239 + VAT.
Both Zeller and Teya include split payments, digital receipts and tipping. But Zeller also includes customisable screensavers and a free built-in POS system. Teya has no native POS software and relies on third-party ePOS integrations instead.
On rate, Zeller charges 1.3% on domestic Visa and Mastercard in-person payments. Teya charges 1.59% with an additional £29.99 per month if your turnover is less than £2,500.

Both Zeller and Teya offer payment links and MOTO payments. However, Zeller also offers a free invoicing solution.
With Zeller Invoices, you can create, send, and customise invoices for free. You can add your logo and brand colours, set up automated payment reminders, and track invoice status in real time from your Zeller Business Account. Teya does not offer an invoicing product.
For payment links, both providers charge their standard transaction rate: 1.5% for Zeller on domestic Visa and Mastercard payments, compared to 1.59% for Teya.
MOTO payments follow the same pattern, but with an added cost on Teya's side: Zeller charges 1.5% on domestic Visa and Mastercard, while Teya charges its standard 1.59% rate plus an extra, undisclosed fee — and access depends on passing Teya's eligibility checks.

Both Zeller and Teya offer a free business account with no monthly fee, a free debit card, and instant transfers. The difference is in what each includes as standard.
