In-person payments
Zeller and Dojo both offer card machines with 4G connectivity. Zeller Terminal comes in two models starting at £99 + VAT. Dojo's comparable device is the Go Max, priced at £229 + VAT upfront, or £25/month on a rolling basis.
Both include split payments, digital receipts and tipping as standard. But Zeller also includes customisable screensavers, invoicing, Payment Links and POS, all free. Dojo's free Essential plan covers the basics, but features like remote refunds and competitor benchmarking sit behind its Plus plan at £11.99/month, per location.
On rate, Zeller charges 1.3% on domestic Visa and Mastercard in-person payments, no additional fees. Dojo advertises 1.2%, but that's before its authorisation fee and refund fee, both disclosed in Dojo's own terms but not included in the headline rate.

Online payments
For invoicing and remote payments, Zeller offers a complete solution where Dojo doesn't. Zeller Invoices are free, with no monthly subscription, and include custom templates, automated reminders, international cards and Xero Bank Feeds integration as standard — Dojo doesn't offer invoicing at all.
On the Virtual Terminal, Zeller charges a flat 1.50% versus Dojo's 1.7% + £0.05 per transaction, with both providers letting you take payments from a browser, send Payment Links via email or SMS, and track payment status from your dashboard.

Zeller offers a free business account with no monthly fee, unlimited debit cards, and instant transfers. Dojo doesn't offer an equivalent, its focus is payments and card machines, not everyday business banking.
